KODA の歴史
１９２８年に私たちの祖父母が三海田村（現美作市林野）で、甲田商店として雑貨販売を始めたのが始まりです。１９５８年、現住所に呉服屋として移転してきました。２０１１年からは衣料品店として長年お客様に支えられてきました。
２０１９年からは、美作にもアートやクリエイティブな機会がもっと増えたら良いなという思いで、９０平米の店舗の半分を使い、陶芸展を企画したり、デザイナーやアーティストによるワークショップも開催してきました。
Our Story
It all started in 1928 when our grandparents started selling general merchandise as Koda Shoten in Mikaida Village (now Hayashino, Mimasaka) In 1958, we moved to our current address as a kimono store Since 2011, we have been supported by our customers for many years as a clothing store.
Since 2019, we have been using half of the 90 square meter store to organize pottery exhibitions and workshops by designers and artists, with the hope that there would be more opportunities for art and creativity in Mimasaka.
パン屋への情熱
ドイツで食べたパンの中でもプレッツェルの味が忘れられず、サワドゥパンという自家製酵母により独特の少し酸味のあるパン生地の研究に没頭していきました。愛らしい形のプレッツェルをみんなにも食べて欲しいと思い、２０２０年パン屋の開業を決めました。
Passion for Bakery
Our grand children live in Germany. Our chef could not forget the taste of “Bretzel” among the breads he tasted in Germany, and he researched hisself a bread dough called sourdough bread, which has a unique slightly sour taste due to homemade yeast. He decided to open a bakery in 2020, hoping that everyone would enjoy the lovely shaped “Bretzel”.
アートとパン
２０２１年４月、KODA Gallery x Pan としてリニューアルオープン。
ギャラリー x パン屋 と カフェスペースの店内で、パンに引き寄せられ、ギャラリー側では普段の生活では出会わないような出会いがあれば良いなと願っています。２０２３年からは、地元のアートに携る人たちが企画側に加わり、年に数回のアート展を開催していく予定です。

ART and Bread
Our shop will reopen as KODA Gallery x Pan in April 2021. We hope visitors will be drawn to the bread in our gallery x bakery and café space, while also encountering new and unique experiences on the gallery side. Starting in 2023, local artists will be involved in the planning process, and we plan to host several art exhibitions throughout the year.
We look forward to welcoming you to our new space.
